As a great author, C.S. Lewis stated many years ago, "the next best thing to being wise oneself is to live in a circle of those who are.” During my career I was fortunate to have been surrounded by the right circle! This aspect of career success is not often fully understood. Rather, too many seek to embrace the rugged individualism of "doing it all myself." Living in a wise circle, as Lewis so clearly outlined, was certainly a key to my own professional success. Seek to find your wise circle as you grow your successful career.
